Services / Platforms & Activation / Integrations & Pipelines

Data flows — instead of being glued between tools by hand.

When every tool switch becomes a data island, your team gets stuck in copy-paste loops. I build ETL and webhook pipelines that run robustly and transparently — with clear error handling and monitoring.

Automated

Data flows between shop, CRM, marketing and accounting — without manual handover and without copy-paste.

Fault-tolerant

Retry logic, dead-letter queue, alerting. When something goes wrong, you know before the customer complains.

Scaling-safe

Pipelines that run even at 10x data volume. No hours-long resyncs needed.

What you can book

Six building blocks, individually or as a package

Mapping first, then architecture. Build only for the critical flows — I run the rest via Zapier/Make.

Integration audit

Existing pipelines, copy-paste workflows, data islands, error status. Output: workflow map.

Architecture

Which flow on Zapier/Make (no-code), which on n8n/custom (code) — and when iPaaS actually makes sense.

Webhook setup

Event-driven workflows between shop, CRM and marketing tools. Idempotency and signature checks included.

ETL / data pipeline

Fivetran/Airbyte for standard sources, dbt transformation, BigQuery/Snowflake loading. With scheduling.

Error handling

Retry policies, dead-letter queues, alerting in Slack/PagerDuty and a manual replay option.

Monitoring

Run-status dashboards, latency tracking, data validations (volume, schema) and audit logs.

How do we differ?

Three ways to build integrations

No-code tool, enterprise iPaaS or senior operator. Depth and maintenance realism differ — here's the honest comparison.

How we work

Five phases, one point of contact

Mapping before building. Standard flows in Zapier, critical ones in code. Every phase has an output you can keep.

01 · Week 1–2

Audit

Workflow inventory, data islands, copy-paste hours. Output: workflow map.

02 · Week 2–3

Architecture

Tool mix, pipeline concept, schema validation, error strategy. Output: architecture plan.

03 · Week 3–6

Build

Zapier/Make/n8n workflows, custom webhooks where needed, data validations. Output: running pipelines.

04 · Week 6–7

Monitoring

Dashboards, alerting, replay mechanics, docs. Output: live status overview.

05 · ongoing

Maintenance

Tool API updates, new use cases, schema migrations as needed. Output: stable flows.

  • Zapier
  • Make.com
  • n8n (self-hosted)
  • Pipedream

ETL / Data

  • Fivetran (Managed)
  • Airbyte (Open-Source)
  • dbt
  • BigQuery / Snowflake

Custom-Code

  • Node.js / TypeScript

Recommended entry point

Two paths, depending on where you stand

Clean up existing workflows or build a new pipeline architecture — both get a tool-mix check.

For you if

Workflows run, but they hurt

Zapier setups keep failing, data islands keep growing, copy-paste tasks eat hours of your team's time. A focused diagnosis with cleanup recommendations is often enough.

For you if

Rebuilding the pipeline architecture

You're starting with a marketing stack, want to integrate CRM + shop + marketing, or you're migrating from one stack to another. You need a concept with a tool mix and a build roadmap.

FAQ

What clients often ask before the first collaboration

Zapier, Make or custom code?

Zapier for standard flows with low volume (< 10k operations/month) and non-tech owners. Make.com for more complex flows with better filter and iteration functions. Custom code (n8n self-hosted or Node.js) for critical pipelines with high volume or compliance requirements.

ETL or ELT — what's the standard today?

ELT with Fivetran/Airbyte + BigQuery/Snowflake + dbt is the new standard for analytics pipelines. Load data first, then transform it in BigQuery. Classic ETL still makes sense when compute is more expensive than storage or for compliance reasons (no raw storage allowed).

How reliable are webhooks really?

Standard webhooks have a 2–5% failure rate (network, timeouts, receiver errors). With a clean setup (retry policy, dead-letter queue, idempotency keys, signature check) you get to < 0.1%. I always build that in — otherwise you get phantom bugs that aren't reproducible.

Is n8n self-hosted worth it over Zapier?

At > 50k operations/month, yes. n8n self-hosted (Hetzner, Render) costs a fixed €20–50/month, while Zapier Pro runs €1,000+. But: n8n needs a DevOps hand for hosting, updates and backups. Below 20k operations, Zapier stays cheaper than the self-hosting effort.

Who maintains the pipelines afterwards?

No-code flows (Zapier/Make) can be maintained by your marketing or ops team — with the docs I deliver. Code-based pipelines (n8n, custom) need a dev hand: either your team or I stay on as a special-topics retainer. I make that transparent in the audit.
